True Hearing opened its doors on 1 September 2017. Owner Neill Venter, with more than 20 years’ experience in the hearing industry, is at the helm of the business. Neill himself has a hearing loss and he believes that he, due to his own hearing loss, has a unique understanding and compassion for others suffering from a hearing loss and the associated everyday challenges that comes with suffering from a hearing loss and the use of hearing aids. He has an advantage in delivering professional hearing services based upon personal experiences that he can apply to satisfy a hearing aid users’ expectations from a hearing aid as well as optimally adjust the hearing aid to ensure a hearing experience par to none! Neill applies precise fine-tuning to the hearing aids according to each and every patients’ individual and specific needs in order to reach the goal of delivering a precise and personalized hearing experience to each patient.
Mission
True Hearings’ passion is to dramatically improve the quality of life of our patients no matter how mild or severe the hearing loss might be and to make a difference on a personal level to each of our patients. A person suffering from a hearing loss tend to withdraw from everyday life, conversations, gatherings, and social events, and this commonly leads to loneliness and ultimately depression. Prescribing a suitable hearing aid to a patient enables the patient to take part in conversations again, prevents them from hearing words wrong, prevents misunderstandings and unnecessary frustrations. Hearing aids also assists with dampening the hissing sounds commonly experienced by patients suffering from Tinnitus.
